Moment to Shine

Today was Chorley's 'moment to shine' as the Olympic torch passed through the town. We were there at 7.00 a.m. to be part of this historic event. There were crowds of people gathered, young and old, even at this early hour.

Here comes the torch-bearer now.

Oops! Nearly missed her! This was the best photo I got but it was worth waiting for as the atmosphere was fantastic!



We were just too far down the road to see the actual changeover of torches, happening here,  which is nicknamed 'The Kiss'.
